Movie Review : Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Daniel Craig was a complete badass but was one up’ed the moment Rooney Mara stepped into the screen. Mara’s character, Lisbeth, lives a sad sad life but manages to use her intellegence to solve crime and strike revenge on the disgusting social worker.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was a complex film that had you asking for more. The audience was an interesting mix of my family and I (yes, I sat through the hard to watch scenes with my aunt, uncle, parents, boyfriend and baby brother – don’t worry, he’s 19).

The moment the film ended, I wanted to score the second movie because I want to know what happens to Lizbeth and what shenanigans Mikael gets into next. The film did an awesome job with character development. If you didn’t feel for Lisbeth, you don’t have a soul. I picked up the second book, the Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest, and hope to finish it this summer.
