Karen Chenaille, Retreat Attendee, real estate agent, and investor

Amanda Cruise, Retreat Attendee and Investor

Strategy + Accountability.

We will spend less time on "content" and more time on strategy. You have access to thousands of hours of podcasts, YouTube content. You can get your hands on books on nearly every topic of investing, but here at the retreat you will have the opportunity to have your business and/or investing strategy audited by experienced investors.

What Past Attendees Are Saying

“An intimate retreat with other investors from across the US was exactly what I needed to see my business from a new lens.

Sarah's strengths in listening, coordinating and teaching created a weekend that was so so valuable.

I've never been to a retreat like this! Was such an honor to mingle amongst smart, talented, humble, up-and-coming real estate investors!

If Sarah is involved -- I know I want to be part of it, whatever it may be. Don't wait and wonder. Participate, get involved and level up now!”

- Sylvia Santelli, Retreat Attendee and Investor

“Sarah truly knows how to host a retreat and add special touches. From personalized, handwritten note cards on each pillow, to thought our pairings for activities.. to book giveaways personalized to where people were at. Sarah combined not only real estate investing knowledge but also a persons life as a whole— as sometimes our personal lives and emotions impact our ability to look beyond and grow.

Sarah nailed it with each exercise— and we all left the weekend with specific, personalized, written action items and time bound first next steps. I found new friends and accountably partners in life that are pushing me to grow. 11/10 would attend again.”

Sarah King, @nerdsguidetofi investor and retreat attendee

“Sarah's retreat was everything I ever wanted from a mastermind retreat. The weekend was packed with thoughtful activities that challenged each investor individually, both personally and professionally. Her retreat created a safe environment for 15 strangers to walk in the room and be able to trust each other, and then walk away with a supporting tribe that holds each other accountable on a daily basis months after the retreat (and even willing to start a syndication after only knowing each other for 3 days!). She has a natural talent to bring people together, to get the best out of people, and to challenge them to help them achieve their goals. She is a thoughtful listener that genuinely cares and who will leave you full of ideas and actionable items for you to achieve your goals. I cannot recommend her retreat more, it has been life changing both as an investor, and on a personal level.”

FAQ

  • The retreat will be held at a luxury villa in Antigua, Guatemala. The space features an ensuite bathroom for each room, plenty of space for group collaboration on the first floor including a grass courtyard. Enjoy the rooftop pool and lounge chairs on our private roof deck. (Bring a swimsuit!)

  • Yes. You are responsible for your airfare and your travel to/from the airport. The address of the home is: Casa La Bendición Gt, 14 Calle de los Duelos, La Antigua Guatemala. It is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from the airport (La Aurora (Guatemala City) International Airport, GUA). We will organize a ride from the airport to the house, but only if you put your flight information here.

  • Traffic in Guatemala gets pretty bad after 4:00 p.m., so I recommend arriving in the morning or any time before 4:00 p.m. In a perfect world, you all arrive on the same flight, but I understand that may be difficult.

  • Yes, all meals are included. Be prepared to enjoy a culinary adventure!

We can accommodate dietary restrictions, but only if we know! So, please be sure to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1iajAjsKvjd7_pC-P6sGmqRUmjHkMlTHn1DAYyNedNH8/prefillfill out the intake form before August 1.

  • As of August 12, 2022, Guatemala does not require a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination. The U.S. has also updated its guidelines and no longer requires a negative test or proof of vaccination to re-enter.

  • The Guatemalan Quetzal (GTQ) is the official currency of Guatemala.

I highly recommend getting cash out from the airport ATM. It is located in the parking garage across the street from the airport. I have gotten cash out here each time I arrive. If you’re unable to get cash from this ATM, no worries! You can get cash at the ATM in Antigua.

I also recommend a Charles Schwab debit card because they have no ATM fees AND they will reimburse you any fees, which really start to add up if you travel abroad a lot.

  • I have not had an issue with using a credit card almost everywhere at cafes and restaurants, etc., however, some vendors accept cash only.

Again, I highly recommend the Charles Schwab Debit Card because it will reimburse you for all foreign transaction fees and ATM fees.

  • Password: Antigua1420

    Wifi network: Claro1_4986ee

It is good enough for emails and some zoom calls, but do not expect to upload large files. There are two coworking spaces nearby should you need them.

  • We won’t give away all the details, but you should expect to:

    • Find a community

    • Look inward

    • Learn and grow as an investor and human

    • Enjoy adventure

    • Make meaningful, lasting connections

  • Yourself and a great attitude! You must bring a notebook and pens.

There will be lots of things to write down and Sarah is notorious for saying, “Write that down!” ;)

  • While September is the wettest month of the year, this doesn't mean that it rains all day every day everywhere—or even every day. Most mornings are bright and sunny, with rain for a few hours in the afternoon. I recommend bringing layers—think versatility! I recommend you pack at least one really cozy outfit for the house. Rain is often common in short spurts, so bring a rain jacket.

We will do a light hike together as a group so bring hiking clothes. I will wear my hiking boots (mostly because I need to wear them in) but you can wear tennis shoes for this hike. It is 20 minutes of incline and the rest is casual.

The dinners we will have will be casual. I will wear casual cute clothes (dress with a cardigan or jean jacket and even leggings and a top). During the day, it can get warm and at night, I am always glad to have closed-toe shoes and a jacket.

  • It is less about a unit count requirement for us. What we are looking for is someone who takes action, so if you don’t own 3+ units right now, you are confident you will in the next 90-180 days.
